Latest update: I told them I do not wish to replace the rims through them. They offered others and I said I had no faith. Now the guy is appealing to me not to make the matter too big, if the company comes to hear about it they will lose their jobs. He tried telling me the guy who did it has wife and children to feed. 

However I have told him that I still wish to have a refund. He told me he would call me tomorrow on how/when to refund me. I have a feeling he is going to ask again to settle privately.

Seriously... as long as they refund you... who cares how they do it..... But I have a hunch they are asking you to take instalment payment....

If you are getting a full refund privately, I see no harm in saving his job. To err is human, to forgive is divine.

To a certain extend, I disagree (no offence bro), the sales person should/must know what he did is no right....but he still choose to go ahead.... thus he/she should learn a lesson, god knows how many others have fallen into he/her ploy.....

 

Imagine the wheel came off and a fatal accident happen....I am sure he will not come out to apologies.....

 

 

Ya sis. Do what u think is right. Just settle it amicably unless they start to play punk then off with the gloves.

Pls lor...installment? If he/she suggest installment, pls do not accept as you may be left with nothing if he/she does not pay after 1st installment....just ask to settle full...

Yes I do think the company should be informed because it seems at least two people were in cahoots and my family is such a long time customer of theirs!  To pay from own pocket means they know how drastic it is. I am told in a bad accident insurance can refute claim?! Is that true?

 

Oh well....just want it settled as I will be away next week.

 

Am heading down to get the refund. Will not be accepting installment.

 

However it does mean I need to find new rims quickly. 

 

Bros anything to recommend? Have about 3 years to go. Not sure if extending after that since it would depend on COE.

Anyway just wanted to let you all know I managed to get my full refund back :) Thank you so much for providing me with info so I could talk to them!

 

However it was pretty late so I only managed to MBM Wheelpower since it was near my place on route back. Unfortunately they do not do such stuff anymore, they referred me to their KBS in Leng Kee.

 

Will try the Ubi shops (Ray S, Top93 & Leong Seng) hopefully tmr or by Friday.

 

Once again many thanks! Such a relief!

I know this issue is resolved but I stumbled upon a solution to this problem of different pcd. It's called wobbly bolts.

 This literally opens up a wider range of wheels that were otherwise restricted by pcd specs.
