Adding a Woofer for W204

Recommended Posts

I've installed the MS-8 last year and must say that the sound improvement has been noticeable. :)

Didn't change the speakers as I find that the stock speakers on a merc not too bad (also didn't want the installer to remove any door panels in case kena rattle & vibration later).

Now I feel like adding a bit more ommph and getting a slightly better 'fill' to the sound. Need the boot space to put my foldie and other stuff so kinda thinking of a space-saving, small 10" box or a tube.

Any FR or recommendation from the bros on what i shld go for?

Kum sia.

IMHO

Active sub are boom box - boomy bass! :)

10" don't go as low in Hz as 12"

Look for Image Dynamics IDQ12 - takes about 1cu.ft in a sealed box.

http://www.imagedynamicsusa.net/idq.html

JL 12W6 takes an internal volume of 1 cu.ft in a sealed box.

Pls take note dun let your bass overwhelmed your mids & highs unless you are a bass head! :)

Unker retired from ICE since 2009!

Am afraid you have to check with the usual ICE installers! :)

Just sharing how mine was installed. The slim sub doesn't take up a lot of boot space.post-443-0-04063900-1382495853_thumb.jpg

Nice, what is the damage?

No exact breakdown figure. All done up as a package from my installer.

No stylo-milo instals but still have enough boot space!
