bobven, first and foremost welcome to the community. SGMerc was never set up with the intent of being a business (if you can even call running this forum a business!).

Try http://www.getmercedesparts.com for your part numbers. Just beware LHD/RHD spec.  

 

Thanks for the info... I on transit to Norway via Germany... decided to spend 2 nights here for doing some shopping....Then thought of this retrofit... as installers get the parts from UK or so...Also the price I saw here is way far too low compared to what has been quoted by forum sellers.. Thats the reason I started this thread...

 

BTW, the link you gave me dont have the part I am looking for :(

Hahaha! !! Nola... TS says tek kok and eng kok stuffs sibeh cheap. .. so ask about the engine lah.... one wise man ever say.. wanna play play big.. if not don play.....

seriously. .. you won't be able to just walk in and buy an engine.. let alone AMG. .. they're not supermarket. .... so don go malu yourself..... yes I'm serious about AMG engines.. but not possible here in Singapore. ..maybe wait till I migrate to another country or die. .. ask my girl burn give me.....

I am going to a MB parts dealer through my local friend... so as per him what you could get max is a 2012 engine only from half cut.. but they may not be for asian export as they are all LHD based. It may require a permit to export it or to find through a local C&F agent.

 

RHD engines can be bought from UK through half cut part dealers...But my friend said that charges by SG customs should cost a bomb....

Nowadays, charges are pretty much standardized based on CIF + 7% GST. Procedural matters pertaining to how the item is declared when imported - you can choose to speak with a specialist company like EGL Eagle Global Logistics.

I have not imported such things on a personal basis. However, things like engine need a valid documentation during purchase/export and after to receive it in SG. big hassle... they will ask thousands of questions as if we are terrorists want to bring a half cut here.... better can source in Malaysia with lots of halfcut dealers in Klang Valley...
