Servicing outside C&C

JSCHUA

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am doing my 30K service with C&C as this would be still under warranty. However, i found out that the warranty does not even cover the service charge as such oil change and standard service procedure. From past experience, i serviced my C class in Seattle Mercedes Benz and it was all covered under warranty (I even could get car wash any time inside the workshop). Today, I had to pay for changing the break disc, break pad, gear box mounting, and wiper blades. Hence, I would really appreciate any advise from you about C&C warranty.

Understand that with C&C maintenance  record the car will be in better value and all parts would be original. However, do you guys have any recommendation on outside servicing? is it recommended? or I better stick with C&C? if so, is it necessary to purchase another set of warranty? I believe outside servicing will be cheaper, but what are the things that I must look into, thus the car is still maintained well.

THANKS!!!

Bro, i would suggest you bite the bullet and continue to let your car service with C&C. So long your car is under warranty with them is a straight forward case of getting your car service & maintain by them. You will get to adapt to Singapore C&C term & condition sooner or later. Once your car is service & maintain by other workshop, be prepare to get your warranty void by them. You have not cross the 60k servicing, you would get a pleasant surprise by the bill charged by them... :)

FYI i change by brake pad & discs at other workshop, not from C&C and my car is still under "warranty" by them, perhaps not my brake anymore even thou they never mention anything to me after finding out that my brake pad & discs are changed outside...

As long as they make money regularly off you, they will give chance one... So get the simple things done there, major items outside.

Thanks bro, so what does the warranty covered exactly? I am charged $900 plus for this 30km servicing, is it normal? Anyway my warranty will be finished with them end of this year so do you advise if I continue serving with C&C or other workshop? Many thanks!

I realised that our warranty mainly coverage on parts the generated noise or sound. Any parts that got "won won", "tok tok", "tick tick" "tack tack" will be covered under warranty.

I intend to service my 30k km car out of CnC. It's no different from the 15k km other than more checks and having the car stays in CnC for a longer time.

I have done it for my previous W203 and its going to be the same for my W204. Don't let that warranty hold you hostage......you just need to go back to CnC once in a while and don't do nonsense repair and service outside and everything will be fine. The car is not a rocket or so regulated like in aviation, so relak...
