SDCard Storage Capacity for Comand Online

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

Does anyone know what is the maximum size of SDcard one can use for our Comand Online unit? Our Comand Online user manual does not state so. Can any expert advice? I was thinking of buying a Class 10 Sandisk SDcard to use but not sure if it'll work or if it can be detected at all.

Thanks for your advice in advance.

Cheers!

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

Ripped DVDs are not advisable as there are cases where the DVD gets jammed inside the system. Apparently according to C&C, ripped DVDs are thicker and causes the jam.

According to what I've heard, the SDCard can also be used to store Apps's data in Comand Online v2 as well as POI info when you download or store them.

For those whom had bought their comand online from CnC, User Manual of Comand Online Pg 118 states that one is entitled to free upgrade of the Maps for 3 years internationally. Dunno true or not. Heee.... Anyway, just got my map update from CnC today. Their 2013 Maps for SE Asia is now available.

32GB already alot of songs

Yes! If you save the POI under Personal POI, it will be saved in the SDCard.

IIRC it's save as gpi format but the KNN gpi format is somehow different from Garmin gpi format.

If not I can copy all my Garmin POIs to the SDCard. (Last I remember,MB kakies community over the world trying to "hack this" - dunno what's latest!) :)

BTW The SDCard Capacity on the older COMAND NTG 2.5 was less than 4Gb capacity.

Wanna play movie, retrofit UCI plus! (U should know who to approach)

Haaa.... Thanks for your inputs bapak. I'm now using 8GB sdcard without any issues for my new comand online v2. When free during weekends, intent to pop by Sim Lim square to upgrade my sdcard.
