Need help with driver side mirror....

Hi bros and sis

Would need some advice on this.....

My driver side mirror was damaged by some guy opening his passenger side door. Cracked the casing.

Am wondering if can just change the casing or does it req a whole "unit" replacing?

Appreciate advice. TIA!!!!!

Forgot to add, it's a '97 r170.

u can just purchase the housing without the mirror....

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

Yes damage abt $400 to 500 plus to change or conversion to those arrow type design.

400 - 800 just for the housing? then how much would a complete set (housing, mirror, motor....) cost?

 

What I recall, Housing and motor is built together as a combined set, mirror is another thing. For my S class my replacement cost 800 for housing and 280 for mirror.
