Chrome Window Moulding

Recommended Posts

Hi

I just bought a 2009 C180K and I realised that the Window Chrome Moulding on all the doors are stained with ugly weather inflicted marks.

My car dealer check with C&C and I was told it will cost 400+ to replace all the Window Chrome Moulding for all 4 doors.

Is there any other alternative I can get it replace other than going through C&C?

Appreicate some guidance.

Thanks

Black one not so nice for my ride. I like chrome chrome! *bling bling*

By the way, my ride still with the dealer. Still need to clear some paper work but I found Min Ghee Auto and got a quote from them for all Window Chrome Trimming:)

Greats!! Keep us update on the damage for this replacement.

Just a little update, I check with Min Ghee Auto on the Chrome trimming and it gonna cost me a total of $500 without installation!

Went to C&C and was also advised it is not worth to spent this amount to change the Chrome trimming.

Went to Autobac to buy some solution, managed to polished and the rain mark faded a little.

Gonna try Tigershark recommendations, Autosol!

Anyway, been enjoying my ride since then and the superb service attention by C&C ;)

u can also try diluting vinegar in water. Since vinegar is a very mild acid it could remove some watermark.<br />
