my S280L W220 left headlight, low beam area melted. I still does not know what had caused it. Does anyone know where is the cheapest replacement? 2nd hand or new?

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

Any workshop will able to get it replace for u if only the bulb is malfunction. However if the bulb got stuck or melted and damage the fitting then the issue is not as straight foward just by changing the bulb. Picture will be good if you have it and post it here.

Yea, cant really figure out what is the ring for etc. Here is yr options, change the entire cluster (new (local distributor) or used - Propel) or go to those workshop that zhng angel eye ask them to pry open the headlight and reattached the "ring" and seal it back. Yes i know some of u got phobia (not ah pui piglet name hor) of water seepage etc this concern is uncalled for coz i had jad zhng couple of headlight on my previous car and no issue at all. I might be wrong again!!

The Ring is part of the low beam, well i wonder why it melted bring to C&C quote was 1.5k and bring to workshop le 1k all in.... They said the ring melted no choice has to change the whole thing.
