ATE brake pads: one week didn't wash rims

Looks great! But there's a kerb rash on your front wheel

Unfortunately, that's the downside of clean rims. Imperfection becomes more obvious. In fact, I was thinking of changing the rims because of the kerb rash. I dropped the idea as the probability of getting another kerb rash is high. Precision driving is definitely not my forte. Ha...ha...

The pads damn power! You didn't drive right? Lol

How's the bite? Can do a review? Tks

The brake pads have not bedded in yet. So I can't advise its performance against the original brake pads. I read that ATE recommends 500km to bed in the pads. I still have some distance to go.

Anyway for normal braking, ATE pads work as well as the original pads. No screeching sound, which I dread.

Go to Leong Seng. They patch up the rim perfectly. But the down time is 1 day and they will give u a replacement rim.

Where do you buy the brake pads and install them?

I got them from Golden Link's Sin Ming outlet. For installation, I went to Yap Motors. Also at Sin Ming.

If you want to avoid the hassle, you can go to Juzz For Cars. They supply and install. Call them to check stock availability before you go down.

Just curious.

Changing brake pads = void warranty ?

This is a wear & tear item. The worst case scenario...excessive wear of rotors. Even then, this is another wear & tear item...= non claimable under warranty. It's the same as after market air filter & tyres.

I called JFC 1 mth ago and they say they dun carry ATE for W204 leh. Same for MBM.

In the end, i stuck wif MB originals.

Buy from Goldenlink....they are the distributors here in S'pore. Cash & carry to your favourite mechanic...& then pay labour. ($30 for front, $60 for frt & rear)
