Hmm having loud exhaust mods is like style fashion. I remembered all my buddies from loud exhaust mods to silence. Coz the trend is when over take u without knowing it, is priceless!! Now i see u guys going for the boom boom bang bang arh!! Btw exhaust mods alone increase or gain horse power hor and loss of torque due to lack of back pressure. Is worth it lah if love the boom boom bang bang!!

How much is the damage for the tuning? I'm interested to do it as well cos COE is too high cannot afford to change to a faster car need to mod my w204 PRe-FL

So after getting a LTA-approved exhaust, you are still required to do exhaust inspection?

 

Will they just inspect the exhaust or they can nail you for others too (tint, license plate)?

They will only inspect the exhaust system. This inspection is for them to do up the paperwork and take photos of your exhaust setup. Did mine at STA Sin Ming. Went there at 830 in the morning, was the first one in line. Was out by 9am. Go in the afternoon, queue will be longer.

I headed over to Kaki Bukit Viacom on the day I fitted my exhaust, three cars ahead of me. Guy in charge told me waiting time is 2 hours.

Previoulsy I went to kaki bukit VICOM. The guy told me they were shorted handed and need to wait about 2 hrs too. He then suggested me to go Sin Ming VICOM, and I did.

Reached there around 3.30pm, the guy there told me they were already closed for the day! What!?? I then drove straight back to kaka bukit, reached at 4.45pm. Met the same guy who suggested me sin ming branch. he was chatting outside looking like already packed up for the day.

After some insisting and questioning, that guy finally gave in and inspect my ride. Took only about 20 min to complete the job.

I later wrote a compliant to VICOM. Note all branches VICOM (VITAS) operates Mon-Sat 8am - 5pm.
