B or C?

Recommended Posts

IMHO, it's a matter of 'each to their own' kinda opinion. I've been driving my B200 Turbo for the past 3 over years and once the new B class W246 came out I was so excited and thought will definitely upgrade to the new B Class. However, when I went down to the Merc dealer, I was so utterly disappointed with the built quality and even the model with all the soup up packages CMI. I felt that it didn't even match up to my current B 200 W245!! I know my comment here will hurt or cause alot of disagreement from alot of fellow W246 new owners. However as I'd stated right from the start of this post, it's each to their own opinion. I can also understand that it's extremely difficult for one to think that they had made a wrong choice in their purchase, in particularly the car prices in S'pore is outrageously high due to COE.

Having said above, all new W246 needn't feel bad as I strongly feel that it's yourself whom you need to convince that your purchase is right for yourself. You needn't get the agreement of others just to enjoy your brand new ride right?

Enjoy your new W246 and drive safe :D !

Any difference where the W245 and W246 were made in?

Wow today life review the B class till very terrible

I was surprised by the poor review as well .... I am driving the Pre FL W204 and was also thinking about the new B class.

IMO, Country of manufactured makes a different, my ex E90n was manufactured in South Africa and the quality is "not so good", the car felt "loose" after 2 years .... btw the new B class is "Made in Hungary" as reported.

i feel the quality of the cars for the basic entry models have drop quite a fair bit in the recent yrs...Look at BMW 3 series or the 328...noisy rough engine n not as luxurious to give the WOW factor...

Sorry bro, have u tried driving the F30 320 & 328?

Lol I do agree that the insulation is not that good, but it's far from rough, in fact the 8 speeder is silky smooth. 320 is more than enough for everyday drive and the 328 makes u want to push it to the max......

Of course bro Jes 350 beat the 328 hands down......Win by 22 leh

  • 2 weeks later...

I had some spare time yesterday and drop by C&C to take a look at the new B Class ...... my SE was not on duty and I did not test drive the car. The "gian" factor after seeing the car ...... almost zero ...... The car could not generate any interest from me, both the exterior and interior looks damn "boring" to me .... my SE even warned me on the "power" as compared to my pre FL - C180K...

The C Coupe looks much better, especially the interior, feels much "higher class" compared to the B class. But 2-door car does not work for me ..... SE advise me to wait for the new A class which is expected to be launched at the end if the year ....

Just my personal opinion ....
