Did that for my previous old W203 C180ML!

Have any bros experimented on this mod?

This kind of mod is highly illegal...straight thru means no cat or muffler. It will invite TP to stop you from a distance or kena complained by your neighbors to LTA due to the loud noise. You will likely suffer low end torque but gain mid to high end torque.

Can elaborate suffer low end? 1st & 2nd gear? Which is mid? In Singapore road, we will need more low end torque than high right?

more specifically, low RPMs, 1st - 6th gear.

NA cars need more back pressure as it slowly builds up the revs. 1-2000rpm will suffer.

top end will be slightly better and the sound will be awesome though. thinking of making a straight-thru muffler for the track. ;)

I see. So if I understand correctly, low end torque means below 2k rpm. If that is the case, why not having a straight thru!

I de-cat my first car last time by installing 4-2-1 manifold and straight pipe, installed obit piggy back, open pod CAI and operated muffler (Honda city). The only mod that I will never ever think do it for 2nd time is de-cat. For the following reason

1. Car exhaust smell is awful, I can't stand on my car booth area when the engine running

2. After few week white powder stain will appear on the exhaust pipe and bumper area near exos, this ant bait, obvious sign of decat.

3. My car was NA it really lost low end torque like pointed by bro here, it really nightmare on start stop traffic.

I de-cat my W203 C180ML cos I changed the C180 SC to a C230 SC - with K-Box & Pulley Kit

There was so much boost that I have to clear the exos pressure.

Should have change the headers too!

Unker, u very hiong! I have fond memories in 1988-1989 car park rallies. My Suzuki Swift GTI had straight thru exos when in race prep. The sound at high red line rpm is awesome, & the torque for this NA car is stupendous. Btw, the FC suffers terribly too. Had a close shave of DNF(did not finish) when my car was running on fumes on it's last SS (special stage). Had started the rally on half tank to lighten the car as much as possible.

The catalytic converter converts the combusted carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide, nitrogen and water.

Carbon monoxide is a harmful gas, once you breathe in, it's dead bond with your red blood cell... I wouldn't stand about the car booth area with the engine running.
