Anyone with this problem... pandan loop can't seem to fully correct mine and if I go comprain will be my 3rd time!

Move off or stopping or turning will hear the seat moving. Sounds like some bolt/nut loose although base frame is tighten down well. I tried to move the seat back and believe the problem is the back area. Mine is a c180k just pass 30k mark.

Mine also, sometime when stop or moving off can hear "gok" sound under the driver seat. Spring oil already and have ask outside workshop to tighten all the screws inder the seat still like that. But went to pandan loop, test drive a lot of time the sound won't come. So LL let it be....

Is the car still under warranty? If C&C still can't resolve this after 3 attempts, demand for a new seat. I had this similar problem in my Lexus GS300. Went in to BMS in the morning to check & received a call from the SA in the afternoon to say that they had to order a new seat from Japan to replace it. I was asked to drop by BMS to pick up a courtesy car or they could deliver it to my office. Their after sales service is impeccable. Hope C&C can do the same for you.

ok thanks for the inputs, will go get this done since under warranty.

everytime they "fix" it after a while it will come back, this round the sound is getting to my head everyday...

It's the seat frame that needs replacement. Tightening will not solve the problem.

  • 1 month later...

Anyone know where to buy the star bolt (or is it called the torx) wrench for removing the bolts holding the seat down? I fed up with their incompetence and will isolate the problem myself and then go get them to rectify.

I look at DIY shops but most have the regular hex bolt type but no star bolt.

thanks, decided to go diy a little, after the diy the sound is lessen but still felt the seat creaking... its the bolts securing the seat to the base frame (seems like) but in the process of diy'ing i has to remove the airbag plug and now my airbag warning light is up (with the message on the speedo)...

besides MB any other can reset this? just needed another option. thanks.

ok to round this up, kudos to C&C (Sammo was my service consultant) for standing in my shoe and giving me their goodwill to waive this airbag light reset this round, i left happy that C&C showing good grace and good customer service since the reason is really trivial to charge (full price is 120 or so)!!

they also remove the whole seat and tighten the bolt nut.

ok this last post is just to give some credit back to C&C. keep it up... but honestly the days of charging "$5 for a can of coke from hotel room" is over... consumers are smarter nowadays so they really need to work on their service pricing IMHO.
