Where to Get Cleaning Kit/Service for my K&N Air Filter

Recommended Posts

hi bros, may i know where can i get a guy/shop to clean my K & N air filter as its going to reach 25,000km mileage already. i Have searched the forum but only found out they sell the cleaning kit 20-30 bucks but do not provide the cleaning service for me . As i do not know how to open the air filter box etc etc, scared will spoil my dad's car/parts. Prefer to be done by pros or lao jiao rather than DIY myself. Haha . Any bro know kindly reply me . thanks ! :)

Bro try Sonics,MBM or Stackblack. In fact, most car workshop can provides this service for cleaning. Damage shld less $50.

don't think C&C will do that for you as they discourage the use for aftermarket parts. Actually it is quite simple to diy yourself, it is a matter of removing the filter from your car, wash it with the cleaner, oil it when dry and replace into your car. should not take more than 30 minutes.

When I installed my filter, it only took Steve 5 mins to swap in the new filter. Seems as easy as unscrewing the top casing.

from the pic, there is only 6 bolts to remove and easily assessable, do not foresee any problems. Anyone wanna conduct GB for k&N filter???

Mai kong bro never help hor... call for you liao.

The cleaning kit is $35. Clean yourself.

If they clean for you, $10.

so total damage= $45.00

For E class... based on your avatar.

how long did the job take? do note that K&N filter is oil-based. so, if u have read the instructions, drying is required.

and, it is a 2 step process. clean first. dry. re-oil. dry. i use to do on a previous ride DIY. meanwhile, i drove with original paper filters till drying period is over.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
