Becareful they are not "returned items".

There are some brand new GPSr under warranty and send back to Garmin for repairs with 1 to 1 exchange.

These are then repaired but some do no need repair because the end users somehow did not know how to reset

their GPRs when they encountered a problem.

These GPRs are sold over especially on eBay @ a cheaper price.

Some honest sellers will put that in their item description, while some do not.

If your source is realiable and not from eBay, then I think that should be fine.

Honestly the S$802.50 for a brand new Nuvi 770 is a steal.

If not for my Nuvi 670 ID being registered with MalsingMap & Jerome Wee for their maps, I will be tempted to upgrade.

BTW I paid >S$1,200 for my Nuvi 670 bought over eBay last year after searching many weeks for a reliable seller and a reasonable price.

I do notice the prices for Garmin products have since dropped and probably because of competitions.

Yes I am surprised the price has dropped significantly. My fren bought his 770 via expansys for nearly $1.2k+ abt half a yr back, while I pick one up from perfect watch for just $1090 the other day...

I've been encouraging him to buy a GPS for at least a year.

When I told him that the Nuvi 770 is going for S$802.50, it took him less than a minute to make his decision.
