The rubbing is due to the felt or rubber thingy not the fender. Remove this felt / rubber will able to resolve the rubba issue.

If its rubbing on side of the felt thats on the side facing out, then thats means he need and offset of around 50 since he is on 48 now

If its the inside (absorber side), then likely 45 will help

From the pic, i feel that its sticking out too much.

If thats et48, at 9.5" et 50-55 should be just nice.

Having said, its truly disappointing that the rim shop din advise u correctly.

Especially when one of them there was previously working for a shop that specialises in conti cars.

You're right hatch, it sticks out too much. Bought the rims from top 93 via Hurry tires. Hurry was nice enough (imho) to take back everything (tires n rims) at 75% of what I paid and even letting me drive about 3-4 days before my replacement rims came.

My 1st stop to view the rims was at top93. All the staff there asssured me will fit on c class and proudly annouce that they have fitted many mercedes. As Hurry tires is a stone's throw away from my house, went to Hurry to persuade him to get me the rims. Hope that answers your question

Just to share some of my experience with Top 93

I am new here, my C180 is using the same offset ..19"Vertini Black Magic Concave with Mich PSS from Top 93.. This rear rubbing issue will only happen if you have a full load of 3 adults sitting at the rear when driving over uneven roads or humps..

But sad to say.. 19" on our C Class not CLS Class or S Class , looks chio but difficult to avoid this issue with full load of 3 adults sitting at the rear..especially for those with AMG SPORT PACKAGE & lower spring...

My experience with Top93 :

- was told by Ah Yang (Top 93) it might have rear tire rubbing issue with full load of 3 adults sitting at the rear before installation...like it very much...still insist to go for it. But he also did mention it to me " confirm, guarantee no problem if no heavy load at the rear seat"

- Due to careless driving during parallel parking, rim hit the curb , scratches on the Vertini chrome surface , went back to Top 93 , Ah Yang fix it for me FOC.. Did not manage to see how he do it...scratches all gone..shine like new piece..

- Tire punctual with nail..Went back to Top 93, Ah Yang fix it for me FOC..

- Thinking of changing colour for my 19" Vertini Black Magic to Gun Metal Black ...went back to Top 93, Ah Yang loan me replacement 17"Mercedes stock rim with tires .. Help me to send my rim for spraying at a very special price..

So far so good on Top 93 customer service VS any other tire shops...

So drastic difference from what bro JESS and myself have gone through..

Anyway, am now experiencing steering wobbling liao... Sigh...

Botak, we spoke at TOP 93 with friend's car having problem with his front rims and Ah Liang refused to acknowledge he sold a set of defective black vertini rims. Remember the incident? Paid 4k after trading in his 18" AMG rims for the Vertini.

Then Friend eventually "bo pain traded in for a set of rep AMG rims" without refund for the price difference even though its a DEFECTIVE rims. Suspected the set was eventually advertised in sgcarmart as new. We were furious short of having a few brother go down and help close down the shop. Not kidding. Lucky the shop not in boleh land.

Ah Liang also told us the rep AMG set no problem and suitable for W212, he sold a few sets. But .... CNC checked and told us the rims are not suitable for W212. Too heavy and the car handling start giving problem. Luckily nothing happened. My group and associates will never patronise this site sponsor not even for gas top up anymore.

Finally went to LS and swop out the rims and another 4k wasted for a set of BBS.

Nice to hear from you again.

You know what, I had wanted to install THE set of replica AMG.

Fact: AFTER my original 17"inch had been sold and installed to another car at the shop, he then told me the rims I wanted were sold.

I was left with no choice and was convinced to install the Vertini..

Fact: Now got wobbling and front knocking when turning. Asked around and learnt from other friends had similar problems with this brand/wheels.

Pai sei.., not that I didn't trust you..was just too newbie and too eager to mod new ride...

This could be as simple as not having proper wheel balancing or as serious as having a warped rim. Dont play play, have it checked immediately!
