Knocking Sound

Hi Guys,

I am a new member here and also a 2nd owner of an W169 A150 (05) . I am amazed by the interior space that this babe can offer. However lately I can hear a knocking sound (it goes cluck cluck cluck....) coming from rear underneath of the car. It sounds like suspension to me though. Has anyone came across this problem before? Should I bring back to CNC? Or is there any workshop out there to recommend? Thanks.

Regards

just a shot in the dark - is it after you parked the car? it could be just water condensing on the chassis then dripping on to the floor.

I had the W168 from 2000 to 2004. The A-class tend to have a Grrrr....kind of sound when someone gets in or out of the car. The rear brake also tend to bind together after a car wash and will give a loud clang noise for the initial move off.

I would suggest taking the car to the workshop for an inspection. May be a worn bushing or suspension issue for high mileage car.

The mileage is about 47K. Can recommend me a workhsop?

most prob is the suspension. I got the same sound after i changed all my suspension at St black. I send the car back for rectification, the engr told me that is loose component related to the rear suspension although the sound is coming from the front and the engr managed to solve the problem.

Just blasted them on email to document my displeasure with the condition my w205 was delivered and "rectified". Seems like CnC always had issues. When I was with Citroen, also like that.  Maybe next time should try other less popular brands like Infiniti or Jaguar
