Boys & Girls,

We all know Mercedes is famous for brake dust and of course, we have it on our e-class coupe. The question is, how have you been dealing with it other than having clean it every other day?

1) Clean lor

2) Change rims with a colour that camoflage the brake dust

3) Change brake pads/change brakes

4) Use some "special" spray

Just spray ArmorAll " Wheel Protectant " on your wheels & rims :)

99 % Satisfaction for weeks :P

Doesn't seem to work well for my C180K. Brake dust still sticks to the rims after a few days of driving. The only good thing about this Wheel Protectant is it helps to make rim cleaning easier. But the effect doesn't last long. Wears off after about two washes.

Tried Permanon on my rims as well. Same problem. In fact, I think Wheel Protectant works better.

In the meanwhile, I just wash the rims on a weekly basis.

How about changing to to ceramic brake pads that supposedly reduces 99% of brake dust?

Seen so much discussion about Akebono ceramic brakes and Portefield low dust pads. But then again, dont think it is sold here in SG.

Hey guys, I took the advise. Tested.

Today's Day 3 after using ArmorAll Wheel Protectant.

Dont see much dust, they seems to have been grouped into bigger chunks. I suppose it's easier to clean.

Overall, my rims still looks shiny. I guess, must really follow the instructions on the spray can. Spray when the rims are DRY & CLEAN. I think this is a very important highlight.

Well done,bro!!

The downside is u have to keep buying n keep spraying the protectant.

As long as the rims r sprayed well, can keep the dust away for a week plus.

Feel happy for u!
