Advice To Buy Merc

Hi,

I am driving a C180 kompressor(1.6L) Oct 2011 model. Before the engine kick in the FC was really bad. I had about 11.8L/100km and now i get about 10.2L/100km. The figure is not based on the reading from the car. I always do a check base on the quantity of petrol I pump in.

My C180 7G gets about 10L/100kmMy mum's Pre FL C180K gets about 12L/100km

This is pretty weird. If your mum was driving both car, the 7G should clock at least 14L/100km. I think you are heavy footed compared to your mum. :D . 7G is the most efficeint gearbox in the Merc family IMHO.

Ts, as mentioned by others, 2-3 years merc should be suitable in terms of your needs. Less depreciation, lesser wear and tear (of course depends on mileage and usage of previous owner). But generally the W204 C class is a reliable workhorse. Happy hunting! :D

It's Month2 now for my ride. I'm averaging mid-11s L/100km on 19" wheels, 50 stop-start/50 ECP. So for those of you who are considering between 18 and 19 rim upgrade, comapre and contrast this figure against what the stock guys have.
