I was always so gian to try out the Denon......sigh :P

Sony previous flagship Z-50 made abt. 11 years ago cost abt. >S$25,000 + installation/tuning previously quoted in 2001 total S$37,500.

When Sony Audio Engineers were told to design a no cost consideration ICE system in the mid 90s, they came up with the Song XES Z-50 in 1997.

Cost of hardware > S$25,000 and last quoted in 2001 at 1 local SG ICE installer = S$37,500 which includes installation + tuning

Around that time in 1996/1997 world wide recession, not many takers and not many units were made.

Was told Sony SG sold only about 11 full sets in SG since.

A half set at that time cost >S$12,000 i.e Display Panel + Tuner + CD Transport/DAC.

Full set means include further 1 set of 2 way front drivers (1 pair of ribbon tweeters + 1 pair of full range drivers 50Hz to 12KHz + 1 pair of 12" subs + 3 amps )

Used sets may still be available at the right price.

Your FL W211 probably comes with 1 or a pair of 8" paper cone driver/drivers for your bass.

IMHO,

These drivers don't go as low a Hz of below <40Hz and signals get distorted the moment U up the vol.

FL has no sub.. only 4 pcs of std component (6.5 inch?) speakers. and 1 tiny 3 inch centre.
