Hi Everyone,

Was in JB yesterday and managed to find a good reliable merc workshop, 20 mins drive from the causeway.

Workshop boss, Mr. Gan is a former C&C employee with 20 years experience, literally can rip any merc apart (Except R series) and put it together as if it was brand new.

They have full Merc diagnostic tools and saw a few S,C,E Class at his rather LARGE (maybe 15000 sq ft) workshop facility. Had engine Oil changed and very very reasonably charged. Mr. Gan is very friendly and speaks good English.

For those of you whom want to take a break from this concrete jungle for a relaxing drive while your merc gets pampered.

Here are the details, They are right behind Jusco Permas Jaya. You can call Mr. Gan if you are lost, He will gladly assist you.

well got engine oil/oil filter changed , had a faulty O2 sensor and he gave me a used 1 for free (otherwise it costs SGD550 brand new) and installation, as I will be scrapping this car end Jan 2011. Total damage MYR200.00 . Never thought there are workshops that functioned with a heart for the Magnificent 3-pointed Star Badge.

I would also like to add on to compliment Gan at G-Performance. Also met a sg bro there. Hi to bro D1

I went to his workshop on Friday and had a good experience. Gan had help me to source for a used glove compartment lid. Wonderful that he has the diagnostic to reset error codes for SRS, and compressor that has been bugging me for a years. Had him replaced ABS sensor at reasonable price.

Now I have an additional alternate place to go, skillful and reasonable price; not to forget some complimentary cigarettes while waiting.

Used to go to Dennis when they were at Eunos for my VAG ride, now I use Star 9 in Toh Guan as head mechanic and boss was from MBM and Optima. Very reasonable price and convenient for me.

I'm not too comfortable going to jb,many horror stories,am afraid.

My usual is chip soon from Tampines,many chaps 're from C&C

Dats where I found out 7g tronic mb atf got 2 types blue & red !

Call & make an appointment,can b crowded@times.

Read from many comments dat dey 're pricey well,dun realli compare prices & I dun realli go w/shop every month!

But the paint shop ,think 4 shop before them is good,bloody good,anwae its recommended by cs.

Dey got their paint mixing machine & the first time I visited them,dey takes 1 day to mix my paint cos my pre own w212 was spray before & the shades 're a bit different .

dunno other paint shop does it or not but dey groom my car as well,so much so dat,I ask them,do u do gromming.

Another shop dat I recommend is in Bukit Merah ,not realli a merks specialist but many mb goes there.

its called READY auto or something.

Pretty good,the only shop I noe who can REPARED the s class air shock with some Kit.

Recently I decided to change to ATE ceramic pad after doing the research for a Long Long time,well,I'm happi.

Guess dats a topic for another day.

I always like to try out workshop,my Wife always say u waste money like dat.

Tmrw,I'm trying out another  shop.

I'm doing a walnut blasting ,see how it goes.
