HELP - C&C Workshop involve my SLK in an accident! HELP!

Hi fellow Mercedes owners,

Recently I send my SLK for a routine maintenance and send it to the Ubi C&C Workshop in Singapore and the next day they called me and told me my SLK was involved in an accident while testing it on the road somewhere in Tampines, damaging my Right bumper, Fender, Rims and Wheels.

I just couldn't believe it!! Although they did say that they will be repairing it free of charge BUT this is not the point! My SLK would have depreciated in value and in terms of safety, I will not know what could go wrong.

C&C say according to them, the accident is not their fault!!! I can't believe this!

I demanded for compensation and also extended warranty for my SLK but they refuse! They say it is not their policy.

Can someone help me?? What should I do?

Should I sue, bring this to the Media??

Please contact me at [email protected].

it does not matter the test route. it is the AD's responsibility to ensure clients' cars sent in for service are well looked after.

since there is an accident, they should foot all repairs and as goodwill, provide complimentary service credits or as requested, extended warranty.

Do make an appt to see the service manager or director and talk this through rationally. I am sure they will be able to work something out. If required, maybe can get Daimler's help but do remember, this has nothing to do with Mercedes car issue, it's more of the agent's serving workshop mistake.

I would avoid jumping straight to media and go on the lawyer's path before the above ... only as last resort.

I agree with bro raskie's approach...let the media and lawyer be the last resort...if everything fail...all the best bro...

IMHO

Fully agreed! Soft approaches are always the best.

Thumping table or go to the media is not the way to go!

True. AD should know this has the potential to be the ultimate PR disaster and act accordingly. Wish you all the best bro.

Write to Daimler Germany with some good enough reasons. I don't see the logic to test car all the way from Ubi to Tampines.

sent my car for Pre-LTA Inspection lately, they only changed a bulb but my mileage was increased by more than 20km when I collected my car...

Friend, this is my advise, go all the way out! HUNT THEM DOWN...

Must teach then a lesson, then they will wake up their ideas...

Me also cannot ta han them very long time liao since every time i sent my car for servicing & request to attend my car problem.

Like some of the bro here mention, simple servicing & rectify my car problem most likely end up with lots of mileleage claim driven by them.
