Anyone drive the above? Am planning to buy a used car, any advise

My wife drives one... she loves it so much.

Realibility - Yes.... 3 years on, no problem whatsoever.

Economical - Yes... she can get 12km/L

Spacious... well, it's comfortable enough for 4.

Zippy .. Yes... great for in town driving.

Quality - Yes compared to VW Golf, but no compared to my C class.

having it for the last 4.5 years,

good fuel consumption, on N.S highway, full tank i'm getting 800km

local driving im getting 550km

but i do feel the electronics are abit sensetive

and right now wear & tear is coming in.

I had the W168 A-class many years ago and this is one hell of a small car that is big inside for 4. Good for IKEA shopping and can swallow a long table for transport.

I ever squeezed the A-class between 2 cars in 2 lanes during my dangerous younger day's driving along the BKE.

i think i'll go test drive one..is the car stable on stock? or we have to lower the car and add struts etc...

Stable bro. W169 has ESP (electronic stability ctrl) as a standard feature. Suspension revisions have been made since the W168 incident.

Facelifted A looks pretty spiffy. This will be the last of the current design before a makeover occurs sometime in 2011/2012.

W169 is now officially badged as A180 (no more A170) ... but using the same 1.7litre engine with Autotronic CVT (with 7 speed manual override).

With ESP standard, it is very stable. Ride quality is typical Merc.
