Car worth half-a-million dollars on fire along Clementi Rd

Another expensive Italian car was spotted on fire.

The car in question this time happened to be a Maserati Quattroporte, seemingly a 2005 model. The super luxury saloon can easily cost up to half-a-million doors, depending on which variant you choose.

The 'fiery' car was spotted along Clementi Road on July 2, Stomp reported.

'This happened yesterday (July 2) at around 7.40pm in the evening,' the reader told Stomp in an e-mail.

Not three months ago, a Ferrari F430 Spider convertible was also spotted in flames near the junction of Stamford Road and Victoria Street (read report here).

A spokesperson for the Singapore Civil Defence Force told my paper there have been an average of six cars catching fire each month from October 2009 to March 2010.
