haha... i guess with all D&D, it all starts with a committee. Since this is a joint event, then, a joint-committee.

Too late for the D&D to have much activity beyond the makan session.

But I guess, the committee can plan for simple activities during the evening.

Like games to allow for better interaction and knowing members...beyond nicks in the forums...

can forget about door gifts and prizes etc...

maybe table quizzes/team quizzes..

just my random rambling thoughts

Think we can decide as the committee....I will go for the $60 to be consistent and have minimum changes.

Should be ok with the common dining area since we are not doing like the usual company D&D.

I am also fine with both. Private room does provide better environment for mingling, but like Cklasse pointed out, it's also good to keep it simple for our first D&D.
