Tyre warranty

Just found out that my car rear tyre has got some hairline cracks on the side wall. The car is only 9 months old with 12K mileage. Size is 265/35/18. Called my SE from C&C & she said warranty doesn't cover tyre.

I have driven many new japanese cars before but this is my first conti car tyre that lasted only 9 months!

Sad...

wow.

were there any accidental bumps or something like that?

if there ain't (or there are no signs)

you could try going to the manufacturer/distro in singapore. tyres usually carry some form of warranty, esp for something as new as yours.

How often do you check your tyre pressures ? Did it suffer long lapses in between the last few checks ? As this is a low profile tyre, the tedency of hairline cracks occuring due to under inflation will be more pronounced than that of a normal tyre.

Also check yr tyre mfr date.
