Running in the tweeters now. Other than that and the amp + cables, the rest of the equipment I bought used so I saved a whole bundle of $$$!!

Value for $$ head unit (24 bit burr brown DAC, EQ, Time Alignment etc) - $3XX

Morel SW6 incl AccuSet crossover units which I didn't end up using - $2XX

Spent alot on soundproofing my doors (3 layers) so bloody heavy now! :tsk: but shiok shiok no more vibrations from jepun steel

Took out my center console panels for a DIY respray - $35 for paint, primer and sandpaper(s).

Happy like bird!

thinking of upgrading my audio system

head unit wih DAC - to play both CDs and MP3s

amp an crossover unit

speakers - 1 sub, 2 tweets, 2 full range?

still trying to get my head around this and don't want to sacrifice too much space in my boot...

decisions, decisions - why must it be so tough!

In the last 13 mths, I had 3 rides & all were stk....hahaha!

Nowadays stk ICE if U are not so much a discerning listener should be bearable.

For U IMHO, I could recommend a simple 2 way system + a sub of @ least 10" in a sealed box to save space. Active or passive 2 ways will determine the amp/amps U buy.

hey Thanks for the suggestion. I thnk i will never be happy with a stck system but then again, my ministry of finance will not let me have my way to a fantasy system. reality bites...

so i must compromise...

i will scout around this weekend and hopefully can get some ideas. Will report soon
