Help! Workshop questions

Hi All,

The situation is as follows:

Had an incident on the roads with my merc where it broke down. It overheated. It was then towed to my workshop (which is supposed to cover me with a warranty on the engine).

Currently it has been 7 days (1week) since I sent it in. Each day the workshop says that they are checking the car to determine the fault with no further details on cost or time. 

Should I wait further ? Or immediately pull my car out?  What could they be up to? Or am I being overly anxious? What are my other possible alternatives  ?

imho if you had bought your car from a PI, then go and complain to the PI
