Seems like quite a few folks driving the W205 reported a common fuel leak, because of a hose clamp/leaky hose connecting the fuel lines & high pressure fuel pump.  We bought our 2016 about 3 months back and haven't experienced that.  Might help to ask for service history and if the hose/clamp was replaced at any time, otherwise, it's something you should monitor.  Common feedback is that there will be a strong smell of fuel during cold starts which lingers on till warm up.  It's hard to notice because the drip will be covered up by the underbody plastic panels, but can be seen from the top of the engine bay, passenger side between the shock towers and engine.  Do a scan on the W205 sub-forum and you'll see the thread - it's a good read that you should do.

The engine and transmission are generally rock solid, as long as they've been maintained properly with regular fluid changes.  Again, it helps if you have access to the car's service history.  If it's a C&C unit, you can go down and ask specific questions about maintenance, but they will not print anything out for you.  If you don't have access to the service history, and the car runs fine and passes a mechanic's inspection, I'd recommend that you change out all the fluids just to be safe since nobody knows how long they've been in there.

Tks for the reply and advice Reflection. Is the 9G tronic better than the 7G tronic? TIA

i would recommend the 9G over the 7G, the 9G trans drives better.
