Hi Nemo,

All I can say is that you have to be very careful when you are dealing with 2nd hand car dealers -- make sure everything and anything agreed between you and dealer is written in black and white. Do not rely on their verbal promises. If there is a good time to be 'kiasu' -- this is the time. Also, if you are making full payment using cash (i.e. not taking loan) you are NOT required to pay any admin fee (or coffee/football money).

Hmmm... I think I know which dealer you are refering to -- well let's just say you should trust your own mechanic to do a better job or check with the veterans here who are the reliable and competent mechanics for W124 and be prepared to spend some $ initially to get the car into reasonably roadworthy condition regardless how the car looks at the dealer's or what the dealer promised (anyway, I think the so call warranty that they give is probably only two weeks at best). The car that I bought looked pristine for a car of her grand age but still we needed to spend some $ to get it mechanically right.

Good luck for your search!
