Active on a Convertible ?

Just thinking, is it worth it to go active on a convertible where the top is down 70% of the time ?

Stick to the passive route. I was mulling over a similar issue some years back but when your top is down all you want to do is blast.

what abt staging ? Really worth it ?

The staging bit is still do-able with the top up. Maybe you'd like to go for a set of speakers that will do well with your top down ?

I was running a pair of DLS MS-6 with Dynamat Extreme loaded doors. It was tuned with the hard top on and had 2 EQ settings - clothed and topless.

Also had to modify one of the panels separating the boot and cabin in order to let bass from the subwoofer through.

Like to ask what's the diff in EQ bet clothed & topless ? More bass or db gain ?
