My meter shows 10.1L/100km for my last 5000km of normal driving in Singapore.

so i guess with what daimler said with the FL slk has an improve fuel efficiency as the latter... might not be true.

not easily comparable as different driving style will lead to different fuel consumsion..

Before I done any mod to the car... the mileage is aboutv 530 ~ 545km.... fully used up till E-mark

and the average consumption is 10litres/100km

After i start mod-ing..... mileage drop to 490km if I use C mode...... 440km when i use S mode...... consumption now is 11.6litres/100km

More power = more shiok = more fuel :banghead:

seems like the preFL can do better than the FL

maybe higher hp requires more fuel applies???

yes, i feel so too, perhaps the PreFL has better fuel consumption then FL models....

even thou daimler quoted the FL SLK has increased torque, bhp and better fuel consumption then the Pre FL..

i'm doing estimated 11.5L /100km on FL SLK, on combine urban conditions.

ha!

Anyway... no bullshit... my consumption is really low before any mod.... and the way i drive is not slow coach... i like to sway in and out of lane.....

I have another friend that her slk200 (P.I.) was Jan 2007 and she too add all mods that she can get and she complainted her consumption goes up to 11.4litres/100km..... so i can surely says that the old version is 'correct'..... she dont seldom speed and she find that C mode is easier to drive cos S-mode is like keep wanting to CHEONG forward.....

The most powerful mod you can add is to upgrade your supercharger.... you can feel the push on your back if you know what i mean.... the boost level is 1 bar.

Consumption of new cars may be higher than older cars with engine already run in perhaps?

Hey Jef, what's the average consumption for your 350? You normally "step on it" or "take it easy"?

Hey Gene,

With all your mods = more power = more shiok and your driving style, I think your fuel consumption is considered good man. Really not high as 11.6L/100km works out to be 8.62km/litre, this fuel consumption is still better than many Japanese 2 litres cars.

Actually i think our merc are better comparing Jap's.

My Accord can do max 400km for 58L

You're right, my rx-8 eats an unbelievable amount of fuel! The best part is that Mazda conveniently decided not to put a fuel consumption gauge, but magazines estimate it to be around 14.3L/100km normal driving. I guess I should be doing around 17L/100km.

Hey Ben,

Thats why i enjoy driving this small car than the 523..... which is like 13.7litres/100km..... also the same fuel tank volume.

I just came home after parent's dinner.... really want to meet you guys.....
