w140 - s280 vs 300sel

With the prices coming down, some friends n i have been toying with the idea of trading up to a w140. have seen those that were advertised on sgcarmart. price still high but i expect it to come down soon. my question is, which is better? the 3.2l 300sel or the 2.8l s280. guess the s280 is newer but does not have some luxuries like the reclining back seat from wat i saw. n feels a bit underpowered. the 300sel seems more luxurious but might be heavy on the fuel. anyone here owns a w140 or has any advice on this?

A good W140 is always on our radar. There are a few interested members looking out for a good one but we've yet to come across one so far...
