Most vehicle enthusiasts know their products. That’s why a lot of them were extremely excited when

First Auto Ventures brought in the Zaino range of detailing products. For those who wonder what the fuss is all about, Zaino car polishes, cleaners and protectants are technologically advanced products which were specially engineered for show cars.

Mr. Shaffii Tay (SS Tay), Managing Director of First Auto Ventures, explains that his company chose

Zaino products to detail their customer’s vehicles because Zaino was a top notch brand with an

equally huge reputation, and most of the company’s clients entrusted their best ‘babies’ to him. Glancing around the showroom with three luxury cars sitting pretty in the middle, I wasn’t surprised.

Mr. Tay chose the Mercedes for his demonstration and issued instructions to his staff. The worker bee nodded and grabbed the custom polish applicator. It is a specially designed cotton

polish applicator, with reversed stitching to prevent scratching of paint surfaces. The polish applicator

was used in conjunction with the Z-7 Showcar wash, a concentrated blend of special cleaners and

conditioners. Z-7’s special water-based lubricants buffer the paint to prevent scratching and reduce the risk of swirl marks.

After that, the worker used the Z-18 Claybar, a pliable, synthetic bar that effectively removes

imbedded contamination from all glass and painted surfaces. This was followed by the Z-PC Fusion dual action paint cleaner, which removes minor scratches, swirls, oxidation, wax build-up and other blemishes. This paint cleaner also features an advanced, fused tri-particulate, self-dissolving diminishing abrasive system, which removes swirls and other defects from the vehicle’s paint.

Then the Z-AIO Cleaner and Polisher was added, which is an emulsifying cleaner. The Z-AIO gently cleaned and protected the Merc, while effectively enhancing light refraction and reflectivity of the paintwork.

The ZFX Accelerator was then added. It is a show car polish cross-linking and acceleration additive, offering near-instant cure time, reduced surface distortion, enhanced polish flexibility, and

improved bonding to both paint and additional layers of polish. By this stage the Merc was

already glittering and most vehicle owners who do the detailing themselves would be satisfied.

Not First Auto Ventures.

For the gloss factor, the Z-5 Pro was added. It boasts advanced levels of shine, gloss, reflectivity,

clarity, and it locks those optical qualities for months, due to a complex synthetic polymeric based protection. Then the Z-6 Ultra Clean gloss enhancer was added to boost and intensify all

Zaino Show Car Polish finishes. Z-Cs Clear Seal, an advanced total synthetic polymer protectant

was wiped on and allowed to dry.

Finally the finishing touches for the Merc’s exterior – The Z-8 Grand Finale Spray Seal which

leaves a high gloss, high shine, deep, rich, wet finish because of its advanced optical-clarifying

polymers. It also locks in the improved looks and protection for weeks!

“We’re not done yet,” said Mr. Tay. He proceeded to work on the windshields and windows

using the Z-12 clear glass polish, which deep cleans and polishes all glass surfaces with ease. The Z-14 plastic cleaner & polish was added as a non-abrasive cleaner to remove fine hairline scratches and grime. And he mentioned that a very important factor which everyone normally overlooks is the tyres, after which he passed to his worker the Z-16 perfect tyre gloss, a non-oily, rubber and exterior vinyl finishing treatment.

It leaves an incredibly durable, water repellent, perfect looking satin finish, that’s only slightly glossy

and dry to the touch. The end result? Look at the photos. A picture paints a thousand words, as they say, and my reflection was so crisp and clear that I gave up the idea of editing my image reflection out. What sets Zaino apart from the competition?
