From benzworld - http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audio-telematics-forum/1407225-3g-iphone-2008-c-class-bluetooth.html

Hello everyone,

This morning I have tested the iPhone 3G (Software version 2.2) with the MB Bluetooth HFP cradle (European cradle - this is the black one that plugs in the mid console).

[] Pairing works without a problem

[] Loading phonebook works, but is limited to approximately 600 names + numbers.

(you will get a message that the phonebook is full)

[] The phonebook is loaded with all numbers for a contact. (This is in contrast to pairing with a Nokia 6300 : in this case only the default number for each contact is loaded).

So the iPhone 2.2 software seems to solve the phonebook loading problem with the HFP bluetooth module.

Then the new iPhone 3G Bluetooth cradle (which should be available in 12/2008) will provide added convenience:

1. the phone can be charged

2. connection for playback of MP3 music files over the iPod interface kit

3. phone is stored in the middle console

So - happy iPhoning everyone!!
