Bilstein B14 on C180 W205

B12 (B8+Eibach) is perfectly matched together by factory....no noise whatsoever, unlike coilovers. Aftermarket springs with standard shocks is a bad idea. The shocks will give way prematurely as its working a lot harder with firmer springs...hence noise & eventual hydraulic leak.

Agree with Jtang advise on not using after market lowering spring with stock suspension...

Hi Jtang,

I was told that as our w205 has electronic rear brake, I can't change to after market bbk. Does the w204 have the same issue?

W204 uses mechanical brakes. You can go for the original AMG brakes, which will cost a bomb or after markets and lose your parking brakes. Loss of parking brakes when upgrading to aftermarket BBK is a promenant issue with Audi, BMW as they transitioned to the electronic system way before Merc. Those owners learn to live without it.

You mean original AMG brakes support electronic brakes?

The function is there on the original AMG brakes if it works on AMG cars. Furthermore, there are some aftermarket BBKs that do offer electronic parking brake function.

Mark is right again on the W204 which does not have electronic park brake, hence can fit the AMG BBK. As for the W205, there's a way round the mod job without affecting the electronics....fit a 2nd small caliper for park brake on the rear like the Audi R8. I know of a workshop in Woodlands that has done this mod job on several BMWs & Audi. Warranty sure void one! But your Merc will look damn cool....
