me the bothersome one again

someone poisoned me black blue and purple .... a W124 300CE

besides the prohibitive roadtax ... any other issues i should be watching out for ?

is the engine a V6 ? is the gearbox a 5spd ?

i chk sgcarmart... some models have airbag, some dont

But they seem to be from the same year of mfg ... why the difference ?

I think you will find that most on sale are '89 models. Some have undergone facelifts. Beware that some interior panels are notoriously hard to hunt down and importing them direct from some German inventory will incur quite an expense.

I've got a beige interior for my 4dr 124 and recently changed my A-pillars because they broke - the pair cost me a good $220 airflown from Sindelfingen. Forget about getting them from the wrecking yard - 99.99% have broken clips.

Most have had multiple ownership and hunting down a well cared for example may prove difficult.

The 300CE is an instant classic. I'll have mine in black please.

IIRC there was one about 2 years ago that got many of us salivating: Silver grey, full body kit with killer rims, pristine interior (or at least looks damn good from the photos), and asking for $55k.... :death:

Just read a short article in this months AA Magazine where some motor journalist wrote about driving in Australia. They got a CLS500 rental (it's probably a short editorial by C&C) to drive and it was smooth as. V8 engine and cruising below 2000rpm at 100km/h. Sounds good man.
