w221 woofer

Hi my w221 2007 woofer give way ..my ice installer told me I have to buy the original woofer from C&C .

Does anyone knows or if any aftermarket woofer can replace the original one ...

Or I can buy the original woofer from third party. ....thanks in advance for any reply ...

If you know the part number (remove the woofer and see the back), you can buy from eBay.

Should look like A221 820 81 02.

Be careful though, there are many variants of the same item. Can be the generic ones, Harman Kardon, Bang and Olufsen.

Thanks manage to get the ori from C&C .cost $390,include gst ..5 days downtime .what I see from eBay are generic and quite costly so decided the ori sets ...thanks for the help ..

You will know if the woofer is spoilt broken up sound...never miss it if it's broken cone ...C&C is ex I got it at Min ghee .one week downtime .......but changing the woofer is a different story ....

By the way I have the original broken cone with me ....you can actually recone it , but the Size of the cone is so odd ... you can try at Sim Lim Tower special recon Uncle and see whether he can do it or not .you can have it for free ......

SLT Uncle told me he can make any speaker alive.......

I was about to throw away my Hybrid Panel Martin Logan Speakers after the sub drivers gave way.

SLT Uncle reconed it for me < $50 for 2 sub drivers

Yes recone is about there 20 to 30 a pcs ...but the sub from the w221 comes very odd shape ..he might not have the cone ....

where did you get your woofer install after buying from Min Ghee ? What's the installation cost ?

Get it done at a friend workshop ...Eric specialise in Mercedes. ..ex staff of optima werk at kaki bukit .. $80 buck .
