Sprint Booster? Pros and Cons?

Wondering after installing sprint booster will reduce the throttle delay? Will it cause any damage to our engine system?

I've a throttle response device installed on my car. It's similar to Sprintbooster. Have used it for the past 3 years. Doesn't affect performance but it makes the car feel more responsive and more fun to drive.

It's like stepping more on your stock pedal. But in this case after installing, you step lesser for the same effect. I say go for it if you a lazy foot driver like me. Don't like to use effort to step more.

I got it installed! Basically got 2 modes.

1) Green- Moderate driving- I can feel abit difference but not much.

2) Red- Aggressive driving- Really can feel the differences, super sensitive, quite hard to handle.

go install urself a "monster tune" box. helps too. good for wrking hand in hand with SB

I understand the part on "step less get more".  may i ask if it addresses the lag.  Like now, i step more but it takes about 2 secs before the car zoom off.

have been using it.. very fun device.. certainly it reduces turbo lag by a little.

with a piggyback, the difference is quite significant..

 

overall, i think it's fun to meddle with the different modes. Mine comes with green, orange, red.. and within each colour, there are 3 levels each.

 

when FEEL like going fast, just go to red mode..

otherwise usually left it in orange mode..

green mode is when want to drive like ah pek..

Haha, tks for sharing. Will it cause malfunction or burn off spark plugs? Or damage engine? Heard from a friend this Japanese ride got this problem.

The only thing that affect is your fuel consumption if you put on sport mode and zoom zoom. I have also installed it but diff brand.. Don't need to think la just install haha!

used to install similar device on my w203. respond is great but can feel my gear jerking during change when i step hard on it. Somehow it seems to be quite rough on the gear. Now I drive a W221, don't dare to transfer the device over as I read a few response from S class users who suffer gear box damage after installing.
