TPMS for W204

Hi bros

 

Gotten a used W204 recently.

 

Am looking for a TPMS set for my ride.  Anyone has installed TPMS on their ride ? and does it integrate with HU or separate display ?

Your ride should have come with Tyre Pressure Loss Warning system.

Unlike TPMS where you have readouts of individual tyre pressure + Temperature.

Tyre Pressure Loss Warning System will give a warning message if your tyre pressure in one wheel is much lower than the rest of the wheels.

This tyre pressure loss warning system thingy, i can't find it in the menu.  Is this something on the settings ?  or is "invisible" but there ?

 

Can I set the pressure at which a warning be triggered ?

If you scroll your menu, there will be a "No message" display

You can set your tyre pressure!

The system will display a warning "Low Tyre Pressure" msg when one of your wheels is losing too much pressure

I clicked on "Tyre Pressure" and it say "Run flat indicator active".  Is this the one ?  I can't set any tire pressure here .  I can only restart "Run flat indicator".  

 

Am i on the right page ?

When there is a lost of tyre pressure in one wheels - there will be a message

Sorry - Typed too fast - Shout be restart not set.i.e after you resolved your wheel pressure problem, pumped up the required air pressure, then restart

You cannot set pressure but system can detect difference in pressures and alert you.

But if its losing pressure at the same rate the system will not alert you even if its going flat

Yes, so this system detects punctures but doesn't detect laziness in re-inflating your tyres.

I understand now that the alert for abnormal loss of tire pressure is not shown anywhere in the menu but is active .

 

(1) Is there a system to monitor the tire pressure of the tires ?  or i need to install a separate tpms ? 

(2)  What tpms would bros here recommend for our ride ?

(3)  Then what is this "run flat indicator" that is on the menu ?  Does it mean it supports run flat tires ?

 

Pardon me for the many noob questions.  my 1st merc........

You'll need to install separate TPMS for your purpose.

Run flat indicator just informs you when one of your tyre pressures are very low compared with the rest therefore suggesting a flat tyre.

ah ok.  I understand.  So the Run flat indicator is the tire pressure loss alert thingy.  THanks

 

Any bros here installed any tpms on your rides and any brand to recommend for our rides ?  I saw the orange one.  anything else ?  Any that integrate to the HU ?
