Dear bros and sis, i am driving a pre facelift c180 kompressor. Tot of changing the absorber as a pre-empt measure (almost at 100 k km). Currently from what I know, the oem version is bilstein B4. The lowest quote I have is $680 for all absorbers before labour. Any bros or sis have better lobang? Please share.

Mine is almost 100K mileage too. W204. I call PAS auto last week and they quoted me SACHS Brand. They said is OEM excluding mounting. Total $650 for 4 pieces.

I now looking for workshop to change for me. Not sure must i buy the mounting as well. I not sure what "mountings" he talking about perhaps its the "top part " that secure the absorbers.

Any bro here can advise if Mountings is needed too when changing the 4 absorbers? Will use back the stock springs.

Thanks

mounting can be reused.  the workshop should be able to detatch the original shock without damaging it..

Changed my absorbers, rubber stopper and top mounting. Together with alignment. All in at $1100.00

No intention to lower your ride? If yes, BC coilover is better buy.
