Recommended Posts

Hi happy peeps,

My Baby needs a new brake pads replacement for her C63 6/4pot and I have been asking around a few places like

Benzline,

Optima,

Any seniors here care to share more recommendations where is the best place to get the pads & dices?

It's not cheap....got my rear pads from Goldenlink. Set me back $500 (before GST). No ready stock...need to indent with 2weeks wait.

You will need the part no of the pads/rotors for order if your AMG BBK is aftermarket. Let me know if you need the part no

Why pay so much for the AMG BBK & end up replacing with 'lesser' pads? You won't get the best out from the kit.....& it's the most essential part in bringing your car to a stop. Why risk it?

Well, most of us changed to AMG BBK for the looks and not really needing that kind of braking performance.

That being said, many of the top brands in the braking industry does offer a replacement that is similar in performance. In fact, the original mercedes pads are supplied by a few makers. So depending on the batch of pads, you could be seeing a same brand that is offered in the after market.

Moreover, the original brakes are a balance between life span, operating temperature, friction, noise and cost.  They are not so top grade that enable track use for 20 laps non stop without fade. Not trying to mislead our thinking that original is bad but surely that mercedes star chop behind any spare parts does double up the price.
