Improving accelerator response on W204 with Sprint Booster?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, has anyone used or heard feedback on the usage of sprint booster on W204? I'm tempted to try this because there is an obvious lag on my accelerator. Happy to hear opinions.

Thanks

Remarks: For AMG use automatic (SBDD451A)
General Notes:
The compatibility of some parts may vary between different markets.
All parts ending with ' A ' (i.e. BDD451A) are developed for use in Automatic & tiptronic transmission models (DSG?etc)
Manual versions (non 'A' versions) can only be installed in manual models.
In some early models the throttle connector is located in the engine bay
For Mercedes AMG, BMW M Series and highly tuned models we suggest the use of the Auto version
Switches are not universal. They will only work with the specific Sprint Booster in the box. Do not use the same switch in different Sprint Booster part numbers

Sprint Booster

Most cars made in the 21st century have now replaced the more conventional throttle cable for an ECM (Electronic Control Module) that translates how hard the pedal is pushed into electronic signals in order to provide power to the wheels. The ETC (Electronic Throttle Control), which is also known as Drive-By-Wire, has the unfortunate downside of subdued acceleration and delayed response, which can create problems in certain situations such as quick gearchanges, overtaking and up-hill starts. The Sprint Booster aims to overcome this throttle response delay for ETC equipped vehicles, by providing crisp, on-tap acceleration for whenever the driver demands it.

Get more from your car, fit a Sprint Booster now!

Results
- At low revs, the engine responds at approximately half the time in comparison to before
- The delay time whilst accelerating in 3rd and 4th gear and the engine in the mid-range, is almost zero
- Big differences in the higher rev range
- Improved response for downshifts and safer overtaking
- Overall safety and more fun on the road!

Tuning and sprint booster... both works hand in hand.... should go for both....

Yes, I have installed that SB on my W204 Kompressor, can feel the additional "come" when you push it.

Even more stronger with ECU "Piggyback "

You can go tru all the forums notes...many topics on that...

Enjoy

Just installed on Friday and really like the instant response. This mod really takes away the throttle lag. Car is more responsive now. I find Eco 3 and Sports -3 most linear with instant respond. Setting too high will cause it to be too jerky and gearbox kick down with slight tap of the pedal.

recently i find having lighter rims does help in the car's pick-up together with the TRD or sprintbooster  ...i skeptic when told initally but when i tried it, i was amazed .. steering also lighter ...

the bigger the rim, the greater the unsprung weight effect ...

sorry to say but bigger rim doesnt equate to greater unsprung weight. It is the weight reduction that is the factor.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Barely. ..so if you see a heavily modded E6.3 on the road that's slanted a bit to driver's side and dead slow... that'll be me..

But it did make her moved right?
