dear all

recently got a old w124 and its due for svcing soon.

been reading some of the threads and was wondering if other than c&c and MBM, are there other reliable workshops that you would recommend? am staying around south.

try the shell station at lavender opposite hotel 81 or fragrance hotel. they do servicing on a lot of old & new merc. look for richard.

Ppl ask for servicing, you recommend "Hotel 81" & "Fragrance Hotel"!!

That one, service different things lor!

That one only service "Spark Plug"!

appreciate all inputs so far..... pls keep them coming

kindly enlighten with the est amt to put aside for normal oil and filter change.

milage on odo shows almost 400K. is there any impt parts that need to check/ replace???

MBM Wheel Power will solve your problem.......

bro 9339.....who to look for in MBM? my warranty bo leaw and due for 50k svc very soon.

You can look for Ah Yong or Keith . Both of them are friendly and Pro. Remember to ask for the 20% discount on labour.

1. check for traces of oil on ur crankshaft pulling. if there is oil, it means the crankshaft seal/oil ring has hardened...

2. check for traces of oil on ur valve cover, replace valve cover seal if traces of oil found.

3. is the water pump replaced before? if it does not look new to u replace it.

4. replace thermostat.

5. check all piping connecting to the radiator

6. check if the fan clutch is in operating condition

7. inspect all tie rod end and centre drag link

8. check for oil leak on the steering box.

on top are the few basic check to do and replace...

datuk, dont know the address lah... only remember that there is a hotel opposite but as u know i dont frequent those hotel so cant remember which hotel lah.... :offtopic: :offtopic: :offtopic:
