Air Circulation Mode

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Everytime I start the B klass, I will need to press the button for air circulation to turn on the air circulation mode - cabin air will be circulated. However, it will be switched off automatically for no reason and outside air (e.g. exhaust from the front car will enter the cabin). C & C explained to me that this is normal for all Mercs. Not sure if this is also true for your car. Can anyone advise on this?

Thanks.

I may be slow, but I'll see you in a bit - at the next traffic light.

This topic is not new and has been discussed many times, try using the search function. Anyway, this is mercedes safety feautures, to allow outside air enter into yr car to circulate. This is in the event of carbon gas leak eg a couple stays inside the car for hours dont know doing what!! or driving long hours in highway if no fresh air circulating likely anyone inside the car will up lorry!!

It switches off the recirculating mode after 30 mins of urban driving. (Believe should be less if on expressway when ave speed is higher). Just reset the recirculating mode when it switches off. :)

Thanks bro. I noticed for mine about 10 mins of driving it switches off. Not sure the reason thou.

o2 sensor is located in the engine bay

The world Most dangerous thing is the Vehicle. Its not about the machine weather its slow or fast. Its the person who is controlling it. The driver is the brain of the Machine. Not the machine itself.

If the driver reacts slow even the most powerful ABS(Auto braking system) will not help. The driver has to give the car the command in Order for the car to react. Afterall he is the brain of the car.

now i think back, i finally realised why the air con blow to the legs first....make sense...

why?

like blackmercs said, is a safety features, usually when car start up, the air that blow up may carry some virus or gems that reside in the AHU, and if you put your aircon at auto mode, it usually blow at high speed directly to your face...so you will suck in all the virus & gems, i read somewhere that advise us to wind down window when we first start up the car, to allow fresh air circulate inside the car before move off...

with the air that blow onto the leg first, it actually reduce the air directly onto driver & passengers onboard...

tio bo?
