tyre size (AMG Wheels)

Hi, my W212 has AMG wheels has front wheel ET48 (tyre size 245/40R18) and back wheel is ET54 (tyre size 265/35R18).

My back tyres are worn off and time to change. Can I fit 24540R18 tyres to the back as well instead of the 265/.5R18 ? Will it adversely affect the handling of the car ? Thank you.

Hi any specific reasons why you would want to use 245 for the rears? 

 

My guess is the rear is 9j (guess only) so 245 is able to fit, but will look a little stretched. 

 

Do note that you are running a staggered setup, and rotation of wheels for front and back is not possible

cost is a consideration. 265/35R18 is close to $200 more than 245/40R18.

Wow the diff is quite a bit .. Given your rim's width n aesthetic reason I feel u are better with the broader tyre
