Hi guys, apparently different branches of golden link quote different price . Kaki Bukit quote $160 for front pad n $70 for rear. Then I tried Bukit merah branch- front cost $150 n rear $140. Too bad I didn't get the name of the guy who quoted me the lower price..

Previously service my front brake with MB. Was noob at that time so didn't really know so went ahead with changing the rotor and brake pad with them. The orginial parts are really bad... Vehicle don stop in time and make noises produce by the front brakes. Total damage: $800 plus.

 

Now I'm due for changing my back brakes pad and rotor.

 

Just called Goldenlink they said that brake pads are all sold out. Must wait till after new year.

 

Got quoted Rotor 2 X $110. ATE Pads 1 Pair @ $140. Total Damage: $360.00 w/o gst or labour.

 

Anyone have contact to get the above mention item? Cos I think my ride can't wait till cny over.

 

It will be good if they can install together as well. Thanks bro!

Just went to change all my brake pads to ATE at Chip Soon. ATE feels really gooooood. Alright, I'm  just an average driver. Don't drive hard. At least, I don't hear the squeaking noise anymore.

The braking is so much better than stock. Changed all 4 rotors together if possible, for better effect.

Drawback is wife making noise from hard braking.

Wife is really a problem. Mine also, couldn't understand why did I get married in the first place!!! Big mistake. My daughter of 3 years old really enjoy fast ride unlike my wife. My daughter loves hard cornering, makes her laugh.

Hey guys, just bought a pair of used ATE pads from a bro here. At the workshop now getting it installed but the boss said his pads brake sensor that comes attached to his ATE is new-found, and don't need replacing. How true is it coz seems like most threads here said should get brake sensors...

IMO, change the sensor lah. It's only $5, for a peace of mind.

Yeah, that's what I thought but the boss was quite cock sure... Any after collecting the car, I started it and true enough, the "check brake pad" message did not come back. I guess he knows what he is saying... I have driving around most morning checking the brake feel since then... so far ok lah.

 

Personally feel that the bite is not as strong... maybe a good reason to look into getting a set of cross drilled rotors hehe

Safe,safe, of course we enjoy abit of thrill without too much risk. My wife don't allow me to drive more than 100km/hr. This one how to survive, ask her take taxi liao, don't sit in my car.

Now it's $7 for the front and C180 only front sensors.

Yours C250 or C200 model has front and back brake sensors - Chip Soon told me one when I ask them how come don't change rear brake sensors

Golden Link has only the front ATE pads

Chip Soon has the rear ATE pads - they don't sell parts but parts + instal i.e has to run here and there lah!

After AutoSpritze ran to ChipSoon.

After Chip Soon realised that AutoSpritze didn't change my air filter and flushed my brake fluid, so ran back again......hahaha!
