Petrol additive

Hi,

I have a 3 year old plus SLK 350. I noticed petrol consumption is no longer as efficient. Will a fuel additive help? if so, which types pls?

and the regulars like kompressor and fruitcake, 9339, sy, jenvid etc to come poison u go for some NSHW to clear ur carbon and improve FC...

Ya, i think your car are choke that's why fc no good, try de-carbon it by buka on nshw, it should get better.. :punk1:

Try driving like an old granny for the next 1 or 2 days and the computer should "learn" to sip rather than guzzle

Deh.. shell 95 lah... try it to believe....need 2 tanks for a thorough cleaning.

cos whenever i pump on caltex 95 my car (w124) will have some sound from the engine.......

U forgot one more, reset ECU. I think it is turn ignition switch to pos 2, floor acc pedal, hold for 1 min, switch to 0 & start engine.

Well it erases the learnt driving pattern, suddenly your car feels more responsive if you are not a heavy footed driver. Fuel consumption pattern will change.

I check this on mbworld liao, they say SLK ECU dun have the reset program but i think Willy C-class have.

some say use shell 98, some say shell 95 is enuff.

on the car oil cover it says min 91. (95)

so which 1 am i to use on my slk?

hahaha... kerubinu... i went thru the same problem also - couldn't decide between 95, 98 or vPOwer.....

now that there is weekend promo for vPOwer... why not maximise it?
