Changing/modifying W204 Accelerator Pedal?

Recommended Posts

Just have the car for a week and my wife is already complaining that the accelerator pedal is currently too far in and she can't put her foot on it fully even after making all the adjustments to the seat...

So my question is .... is there anyway to change or modify the accelerator pedal (to make it thicker perhaps, so as to bring it nearer to the driver's seat)? Any advice will be much appreciated as I am a noob here...many thanks.

Accelerator pedal is usually designed to be slightly lower level than the brake pedal if you notice. This allows some free space in between the pedals and also to prevent the driver from accidentally stepping onto the accelerator when braking. I think not a good idea to modify to bring up the accelerator higher even it can be done.

Maybe try using shoes with thicker heels?

Beside seat can also try adjusting for the steering wheel reach, can pull towards driver or away beside adjusting for up and down. this way can get the seat nearer to pedal without the steering the way, but if already tried that then gotta buy thicker sole shoes like what some suggested.
