Rim Repair (Dented)

Hi,

 

Anyone know where I can get my rims repaired? Recently drove over a porthole in Malaysia and had vibrations from the front wheels.

 

Tried balancing but the problem didn't go away. The tyre shop suspected that the rim is dented.

hi, dented rims cannot be fixed... gotta buy one piece for safety sake.

Get the rims changed. No point taking such risks

Dented rims are as good as scrap metal.... Change them as soon as possible..

Can try to get some final advice from Hurry Tyre & Battery Co @ 511 Bukit Timah Rd Tel: 6466 3776.. They did a good job on my AMG rim kerb rash previously. Have a try with them

Kerb rash is fine... But dents.... the whole frame is compromised... thus it's not roadworthy already...

haha.. I meant that they can do a good job for rim repair (after they assess the damage)... Just a recommendation.

I'll be surprised that the tyre shop told you that the rim can be repaired.  They would have told u exactly the same thing as the rest here.

Try south east at kaki bukit. Fixed mine for $85.
